Super Easy Stromboli

My entire family loves these stromboli.  I especially love love them because they are so super easy and are done in less than 30 minutes.  You can even freeze them for later or slice them before you cook them and bake them to make pinwheels.  The possibilities are endless.  You can add or take away ingredients.  I even like to make an all veggie stromboli.  Some fun additions are banana peppers, bell peppers, tomatoes, black olives, green olives, etc.

Can i ask, what is the Italian dressing for the glaze? I just know it will be called something completely different here in the UK! Is it like an oil dressing for salads?

  • This is calzone Stromboli does not have sauce inside only to dip

    • Where I’m from, Philadelphia Pa, every stromboli comes with sauce inside unless you specify otherwise and this definitely wouldn’t be considered a calzone, around here it’s the calzone that never comes with sauce inside and is made with ricotta cheese where the stromboli is always made with mozzarella 😊

      • To roll… do you take the side with nothing on it and pull that over the ingredients and then roll that onto the other side with no ingredients?
I’m just not 100% sure on what you meant by rolling it.

      • You roll the side with the ingredients, so that is in the middle of the stromboli and the empty end is on the outside 😀 I hope that makes sense LOL

    • The instructions say to spread sauce on the dough then layer other ingredients. (??)

    • Mary,

      Stromboli – rolled.
      Calzone – halved pizza stuffed.

Sauce is placed wherever the cook decides. 😉

  • Tried this for the first time and it was delicious. It was gone in 10 minutes, the family loved it. Thanks

  • Do you freeze after it’s cooked or before?

Made it the other night and it was delicious and easy!

    • Good morning Kathi 🙂 I would freeze it after I cook it to keep the bread from getting soggy 🙂
