This Christmas Crack Cracker Toffee Candy is a favorite around our house during the holidays. We love baking and candy making for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This Christmas Crack Cracker Toffee Candy is one of the most requested candies and is my, personal favorite. This candy is super easy to make and can be completely finished in under an hour!

With the Christmas season comes a lot of family and friends gathering. Not only do we love making goodies for our friends at our house, we also enjoy making gift tins of cookies and candies for our neighbors, teachers, and coaches. This Christmas Crack Cracker Toffee Candy is super easy to make and the ingredients are easy to find year-round. Add some pastel food coloring to some white chocolate chips and you’ll have the perfect Easter goodies!

You can add nuts or toffee candy to this candy. You can really be as creative as you want with a recipe like this. Use different colors and flavors of candy coating and almond bark to make this candy suitable for any holiday. Have fun with it and make it your own. Do what your family loves the most!

Christmas Crack Cracker Toffee Candy

Gather your ingredients:

  • 1 sleeve salted saltine crackers about 42 crackers
  • 2 sticks of butter (1 cup)
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (you can use milk, dark, semi-sweet, or white chocolate)
  • 1/2 cup nuts or candy as desired

Get to cooking:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
  • Place crackers side by side on lined pan and set aside.
  • In a 3 qt sauce pan, combine butter and brown sugar.
  • Bring mixture to a boil over medium/medium-high heat and boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Pour butter mixture evenly over crackers and spread evenly with a spoon or small spatula.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 5 minutes.
  • Carefully remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  • Let stand for 5 minutes, then use the back of a spoon to spread melted chocolate chips evenly over the crackers.
  • Top with candy pieces and drizzle with white chocolate if desired.
  • Cool completely. You can place in fridge (at least 2 hours) or in freezer (at least 1 hour), then break or cut into pieces.
  • Store in fridge in covered airtight container.
