Talking Tomorrowland And Hunting Alligators With Britt Robertson #TomorrowlandEvent
*I received an all expenses paid trip to Los Angeles for the coverage of several press events for Disney. All opinions are 100% my own and we only recommend events and shows that are a great fit for our readers.
You are going to LOVE Britt Robertson as she talks about hunting alligators during the filming of Disney’s Tomorrowland. Recently, I had the opportunity to talk to her about her role as the bright, optimistic teen, Casey, in Disney’s Tomorrowland. With all of the excitement around George Clooney, it was easy to overlook what an amazing young woman we were about to interview, Britt Robertson. I was excited about meeting Britt, because we just finished an Under The Dome marathon in our house in which Britt played an amazing role. I also had just seen Tomorrowland and she was so amazing and just full of energy in that role also! Just watching her walk in the room and feeling the fun energy in her voice as she talked about her role in Tomorrowland, I couldn’t help but love her and I’m pretty sure you will too 😀 Yes! She did talk about alligators too! Be sure to read through this fun interview to see what she had to say.
Britt Robertson on how it felt when she first found out she got the role as Casey in Tomorrowland:
“When they told me that was Casey, it was like really kind of an overwhelming moment. It’s something that I still remember in my mind as being like the most euphoric feeling that I’ve ever had. I was happy and I was elated, I was crying and I was just so excited. It was such a cool movie to be a part of and I loved the story so much and the people attached to it. I just knew that it was going to be a changing point for me in terms of career.”
Britt Robertson tells us what it was about Tomorrowland that drew her to it:
“It was something about when you read the script and the story. The story itself is a really sweet, it’s an original idea and it’s something that I had never thought about because the themes of the movie, it really covers future and how we look at our future and how, as a society, we can actually influence our future and make it the world that we want to live in. I thought that was a really powerful message and especially for a young woman to be the lead in a movie like this was really cool for me.”
Britt Robertson on how she feels about being the hero of Tomorrowland:
“Well, you know, it’s a really great thing to be like the hero of a movie like this. A Disney film and to be a young woman and carry a movie like that, I found it really intimidating, but luckily Brad Bird was such a wonderful human being and he’s a family man. He understands people on a very real level, so I think he gave me the encouragement to be brave and just take it one day at a time, so that was I wasn’t too overwhelmed by being the hero.”

Britt Robertson tells me what her favorite scene to shoot was from Tomorrowland:
“I loved all the pin experience scenes. There’s one in particular where I end up out in a lake or not even a lake. It was like it was like a swamp real. In Florida in swamps there are crocodiles or alligators. ALLIGATORS! That’s’ what it is! Crocodiles, that would be even scarier. I was like on the hunt for an alligator the entire time I was there and we were actually out in the water and they had spotted some, but then something about just like being in the water and having to also create these little pin experiences. It was just a lot of fun.”
Britt Robertson on George Clooney‘s practical joking:
“What I loved about his practical jokes on our set is it wasn’t full on prank where there’s a pig in my trailer one day, because that would not go over well. I don’t think. I don’t know. I like pigs, but it would be complicated with my wardrobe and whatnot. I don’t recall a lot of the practical jokes, but I do remember there was so many times where he would try and convince Raffey to be a diva or fake smoking a cigarette or something. Just teaching her really naughty things. I was like, bring it down a notch. He was always very silly like that.”
