DIY Poultry Seasoning
Holiday season is quickly approaching. Â If you are anything like me; you go through a TON of poultry seasoning while doing your holiday baking. Â I love making my own seasoning blends; partly because I know what is in it, but mostly because I can tailor them to my own taste. Â This is a poultry seasoning blend that I have been using for years and have tweaked several times to finally get the perfect taste for my family. Â Feel free to change it up and get creative. Â Another great aspect of making your own seasoning blends is that you get very familiar with each seasoning individually and what it adds or takes away from your recipe. Â You will also find that you don’t run out of these blends as often because you can just whip up another batch! Â Have fun!
Gather your ingredients (these are all dry ingredients):
- 2 Tblspn ~ Marjoram
- 2 Tblspn ~ Sage
- 2 Tblspn ~ Thyme
- 1 Tblspn ~ Rosemary
- 1 Tblspn ~ Parsley
- 1/2 Tblspn ~ Celery seed
- 1/2 tsp ~ nutmeg
Now all you have to do is toss these ingredients in an air tight container and VOILA! Use it as you would your store bought poultry seasoning at a fraction of the cost.
