Simple Homemade Kool Aid Unicorn Ice Cream With Just 3 Ingredients
Simple Homemade Kool Aid Unicorn Ice Cream With Just 3 Ingredients. We love making out own ice cream. It is so much fun and easy to do. There’s a sense of accomplishment when you learn to do something on your own and add your own “flair” to it. It is even more fun when you share it with your kiddos. This Kool Aid Unicorn Ice Cream is so easy to make, even with a hand mixer. Your family is going to love it!
We have added so many mix-ins to our regular 2 ingredient ice cream and always had a blast doing it. When I saw someone making Kool Aid ice cream in their ice cream machine; I thought “Why not?” and gave it a shot! We all agreed that this Unicorn Ice Cream made with Kool Aid tastes just like Sweet Tarts candy! Yep, just like it. All three kids and my husband agreed. They have been begging me to make more ever since they ate the last drop of it. Moms everywhere are going to love that you just need 3 ingredients that are all super easy to find at the grocery store.
Gather your ingredients:
- 4 cups heavy whipping cream
- 2 (14 oz) cans sweetened condensed milk
- 2 packet of Kool Aid drink mix (unsweetened). We used Sharkleberry fin and Blue Raspberry Lemonade to get the colors we wanted.
- 2 – 1 gallon size zip lock bags
- A loaf pan for freezing
Get to mixing!
- Pour 2 cups of heavy whipping cream in a deep mixing bowl and mix until it forms soft peaks (about 5 minutes on high speed).
- Add 1 can of sweetened condensed milk and 1 Kool Aid packet and mix well (about another minute on medium)
- Pour mixture into zip lock bag and let sit in freezer while you mix the other flavor.
- Mix the rest of the whipping cream in a deep mixing bowl until it forms soft peaks (about 5 minutes on high speed).
- Add 1 can of sweetened condensed milk and 1 Kool Aid packet and mix well (about another minute on medium)
- Pour mixture into second zip lock bag.
- Snip off corner of first zip lock bag and pipe along one side of the loaf pan.
- Snip corner off of second zip lock bag and pipe along the other side of the loaf pan.
- Using a blunt object (I used the handle of a wooden spoon), swirl the two flavors together in the loaf pan.
- Cover with foil and allow to freeze for 6-8 hours before serving.
- ENJOY!
