The Radical Thought of Not Dieting

my weight through the years

Those are all pictures of me at different stages of weight gain/loss.  Right now, I’m closest to the 2014 picture, although I have been actively trying to lose weight this year.  I lost about 40 pounds earlier this year with diet and exercise.  I’ve gained about 20 of it back.  This doesn’t mean that I won’t try again!  I am not a quitter, but I am frustrated with the constant roller coaster of gaining/losing weight.  What can I do?  Can I ever keep it off?  Losing weight is definitely not the hard part; keeping it off is!

“If I set my mind to it, I can do anything.”  Have you ever thought about yourself that way?  Are you overweight? If so, why can’t you lose those extra pounds?

If you set your mind to it, you would diet “until the cows come home” to lose all those pesky pounds.  Right?  But, why doesn’t it turn out that way?  Because you have been led to believe by a huge industry that dieting is the solution. It is not. Dieting causes weight re-bound. Every time. You can’t escape that reality and think that somehow “this time it will be an exception.”You can’t think your way to a better resolution.

You have to do something different to lose weight and keep it off. Something radically different. Don’t diet.  Maybe the next time you want to try to lose weight, shouldn’t you try an UnDiet?  Maybe you ought to look into the #CoreUnDiet.
