Make A Splash With Your Family At Splash Kingdom
*My family was given this travel opportunity in exchange for our honest feedback. As always, opinions are 100% my own and we only recommend places we feel are a great fit.*
We were given the opportunity for our family to visit Splash Kingdom Family Waterpark in Shreveport, Louisiana last month. We live in south Louisiana and didn’t even know there was a waterpark just a few hours from our house! I was driving one day and listening to K-Love and they were talking about a chain of waterparks that were Christian based and family friendly. I told my kids that we were going to HAVE to take a trip to Shreveport before the summer was over. Sure enough, they invited us to visit and away we went! From the start, we were excited to be surrounded by Christian music coming from the many speakers all over the park. This is something we have grown to appreciate as our children get older.
About Splash Kingdom Family Waterpark:
“Family Friendly Splash Kingdom is a family friendly park. We ask our guests to keep this foremost in their mind when they visit Splash Kingdom. Our Code of Conduct has been established to ensure that every park guest experiences the best time possible.”
Of all the waterslides we went on, I think the Bonzai was the favorite for the kids!
About the Bonzai:
High Thrill – You’ll love this single-rider open slide with its quick acceleration, steep drops, and a run-out to slow the rider to safety. Water Depth: 6 inches. My favorite part of Spash Kingdom was, of course, the lazy river 😀 Really, we all LOVED the lazy river, but our oldest daughter, my husband and I all liked it the most!
About the Lazy River:
Cool off and enjoy this continuous current for a smooth ride in the sun. Water depth is 4 feet and tubes are available free of charge as are lifejackets. Jumping in and out on the sides is not permitted. Nor are food or drinks allowed in the river. Ride Rules: • No Diving! • Enter and exit the river at designated areas only • Small and non-swimming children must be accompanied by an adult. • Slowing or stopping the tubes in the river is not permitted. • Chains are not permitted. • Please continue moving in the river. • Swim fins, beach balls, or oversized inflatable rafts are not permitted. • Anyone who has experienced a stomach and/or intestinal illness within the past two weeks should not participate in any water attraction. • Chewing gum, candy, food or drink is not permitted in the river.
Okay, so my hubby and I snuck away for a few minutes and grabbed a funnel cake! The kids were happy and didn’t even notice we were standing at the concession stand LOL We were halfway finished with it before anyone noticed 😀 By the way, half of the funnel cake is all we could finish together. These things are huge….and DELICIOUS! All-in-all we had an amazing time just a short drive away from our home in Acadiana! Thank you so much, Splash Kingdom for making our day great! Be sure to visit Splash Kingdom Family Waterpark if you’re ever in the Shreveport, Louisiana area. They have more locations throughout Texas also. You can check out their website and follow them on Facebook!
