Let Riddell Help Your Child Play Smarter Football This Season #SmarterFootball
This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/Riddell. All opinions are my own.
Football season is here and I’m not talking about the NFL. It is that time of year when moms everywhere cringe in excitement. If you have a son who loves the game, you know what I mean. You’re excited he gets to reconnect with all of his football friends and play the game he loves, but you cringe at the thought of injuries. I was so excited when I got an email from Riddell inviting me to discuss their new campaign to help make football safer for all of our favorite little guys, by teaching them about playing smarter.
For the first time, my son will be playing football at school. He’s always played recreational football through our local park, but this year he moves up! Everything is a little more real and exciting as he makes the big move into middle school sports. I could not be more excited that Riddell is taking the lead in encouraging our young people to get educated about football safety. As a teacher, I strongly believe that learning is the best way to live a better life, even when it comes to sports and safety.
About the Smarter Football program:
The Smarter Football program is a grassroots campaign that recognizes and rewards teams across the country for implementing ‘smarter’ tactics on and off the field. About 1,700 football programs across North America, from the youth level all the way up to semi-pro, have applied for an equipment grant through the initiative in its first two seasons.
“Our goal at Riddell is to challenge all members of the football community – including ourselves – to make smarter football part of their DNA,” said Riddell President and CEO Dan Arment. “Seeing this program’s success year after year proves that the future of football is promising, which fuels our motivation to keep innovating. We look forward to recognizing and supporting a new class of recipients this year who display the same dedication to evolving the game.” ~ Riddell Sports
Apply now! This year’s smarter football program is open August 1 – 31!
Riddell will select our Smarter Football equipment grant recipients shortly after and deliver new gear before this football season ends. Follow us @RiddellSports and #SmarterFootball for news on the 2017 Smarter Football program.
