Summer is here and in full swing. The kids are home from school and now we have more mouths to feed what can we do to save money? If you have thought this then we can help you. Couponing is a great way to help save money on things you need and stock up for the months when certain items are not on sale.

Being an effective couponer starts with shopping sale cycles with coupons! Couponing can be time consuming but if it saves you 50% on your grocery bill I consider it, Worth It!! Items will often go on “sale” but that’s not really the “sale price” it’s just a lower price. You want to shop the “sale” that will have them at the rock bottom price and I will show you what you will find on sale in July.
“Sale cycles” usually happen every 3 months, during these sales you will often find prices cheaper than the “usual sale” and will be able to pair these sales with a coupon to save the most amount of money.

The “Art of Couponing” is to use these “Sale Cycles” to our advantage, pair them with the coupons, stock up and only shop for these items when we can get rock bottom pricing. Let me help you a bit, if your family uses 4 bottles of body wash per month you will need to purchase 12 bottles of body wash at stock up prices to last you until the next sale. These items when purchased with coupons on the sale cycles should be super cheap and possibly even free and should last you until the next great sale.

Make sure when shopping to stock up on your items that you use ethical couponing practices. Buy what you need and don’t clear the shelves, unless of course there are only a couple of the item on the shelf. If the item is not in stock and your coupon doesn’t expire until after the sale is over grab a rain check and check back and the store and grab your items. Most stores restock after sales are over.
