Dinner With A Movie At Studio Movie Grill

While on our amazing adventure in Houston earlier in the month, we stopped by the Studio Movie Grill.  It has been many years since I have been to a theater that serves meals to your seat and we were all excited about the experience!  The theater is located right in the heart of CityCentre Houston, which made me very happy.  We were able to walk around for a while before our movie started and do some shopping while letting the children run off their extra energy before heading in to sit still for two hours.  This was a perfect atmosphere after a big breakfast and before lunch!

So, being from a small town in south Louisiana means that my children are easily impressed LOL  Yes, they LOVE parking garages.  The entrance to the Studio Movie Grill was a few floors up, so this was PERFECT for the kiddos!  Hannah, of course, wanted to park on the “very tip top” so we accommodated.

What were we going to see after all?  I’m so glad you asked!  Of course, the only kids’ movie that we had not seen yet was Earth To Echo, and we were all dying to see it!  The whole experience was really great.  We only ordered buttered popcorn and a drink for each of us and all of it was perfect.  I am a huge fan of popcorn at the movie theater, but this buttered popcorn was different.  I know what you’re thinking…”popcorn is popcorn”, but no!  This popcorn was different.  This popcorn was LOADED with butter and the butter was, well, butter!  It didn’t taste like the butter flavored vegetable oil that most theaters serve; this was the real deal!  Oh yeah, you know me, the thrill is in the small details and Studio Movie Grill did not disappoint.  Oh, and Earth To Echo was AWESOME!  It was a perfect combination of E.T. and Stand By Me, just like the previews said it was.  Next time you’re near a Studio Movie Grill, be sure to stop in and see what all the fuss is about and tell them I sent you 😀
