Breakfast Banana Split
This Breakfast Banana Split is a great mid-week pick-me-up for breakfast or after school! This is my son’s favorite snack and although he doesn’t like bananas, I just substitute blueberries and raspberries, which are great for refueling his body after football or baseball practice. You can really dress this up. I even substitute Greek yogurt to boost the protein content as well!
My kiddos aren’t huge fans of Greek yogurt, so I will mix in half with regular vanilla yogurt or mix in vanilla protein powder. Our youngest two children are avid athletes and need lots of protein and vitamins throughout their day. This recipe allows me to add in whatever it is that they are in need of that day for each sports season. Since bananas are great year ’round, the other add ins can be, just about, anything.
