Today, I challenge everyone to  get involved with the Jeans and Jammies Project to bless the place that we talked about last week.  Last week, I told you about a pastor in Alabama who had requested help for a family in dire need of basicclothing and supplies. There are  many other families that have the same need.  Pastor Rick Hagans and Harvest Evangelism operate three residential programs for men, women and families with life-controlling issues and addictions. These individuals and families are the poor, the destitute, the addicted and the outcasts of society.  I challenge EVERYONE to band  together to bless these precious ones with some “basics” to let them know how special and valued they are. Who wouldn’t love a new pair of jeans and some comfy jammies to wear around the house or even SOCKS? In addition, I know the women and children would love any special accessories you might want to include such as jewelry, scarves, belts or other small accessories, or even toys for the children.   Let’s let them know they’re worth more than gold and show them the LOVE of Jesus:)

We will need to supply lightweight sweats, cotton sleep sets and other lightweight pajamas since they are located in the south and Jeans.  Please feel free to also send socks, toys, or anything else you may feel will bless these families.

Target, WalMart, and Visa/AmEx gift cards are also welcome along with notes of encouragement and blessing.

About the three residences that will receive the blessing of the 365 Days of Kindness:

Hope’s Inn was originally set up to help the victims from Hurricane Katrina, we now serve the ladies and children “battered by the storms of life” and serve as an emergency shelter for women and their children in need. Our main goals are to live as a family should, with love, concern and respect for one another; while giving women the opportunity to experience life after disaster, hope after loss and family after a heart has been broken. With the support of our friends at Times Square Church, Harvest Evangelism purchased and beautifully renovated a former hospital located in rural Alabama, and transformed it into a comfortable family home where women and children find a place of peace, safety, and love.

His Place is a faith-based residential recovery program for men with life-controlling problem such as drug abuse, alcohol abuse, etc.

Hosanna Home is the female counterpart to His Place ministry, welcoming women with life controlling issues. Through our daily tasks, Bible studies, group sessions and counseling, it is our desire to present these ladies with the love of Jesus Christ in order to show them that He has a plan for their lives, while equipping them with the confidence and self-esteem they need to continue on life’s journey. It is a one-year live-in program. We are also one of the few programs in America that will receive pregnant ladies and ladies with smallchildren.

Please include a 365 Days of Kindness card inside so the person receiving it can pass it on –  (YOU CAN PRINT THE CARDS BY CLICKING HERE). The purpose of printing the cards is that the recipient can then recycle it and pass the card on by doing another random act of kindness.  My vision is that this will continue and continue until EVERYONE is involved in some capacity.    Who’s in? I am praying that everyone gets involved in this. None of us can help everyone, but all of us can help someone, and when we do we serve Jesus. We can make an impact in our communities, one life at a time!!
