Tiki Time With Tyson Nuggets! - Acadiana's Thrifty Mom

I am so excited to get creative with a post! I always look forward to creativity with food; especially when it involves my kiddos! We have been planning on buying the kids a new pool this year and picked out the 16′ X 48″ pool at Walmart. What better way to celebrate than making tiki food with Tyson Chicken Nuggets at the center? After I got my coupons together, loaded the kiddos up and ripped them from the “monkey bars” that everyone else calls the cart rack in the parking lot of Walmart; we were all set!

We *heard* there was going to be a Tyson booth at our local Walmart where we could have lunch *ahem* I mean taste some Tyson nuggets LOL When we arrived at Walmart we were told that it had been deleted for that day (bummer). What that meant to us was that we would head over to Sam’s Club after Walmart so we could have lunch *ahem* taste test some great new summer foods 😀 Are you catching onto our Saturday routine yet LOL?

We found our nuggets along with everything else on our list! Now off to start creating (after we finish lunch *ahem* taste testing; at Sam’s Club) This is why this Walmart location is my favorite! They are busy most of the time, but I always know that they will have what we need and I can leave there with everything on my list.

For this super easy and fun creation; we just used a $0.97 swim ring, some floral foam, wooden skewers, and a variety of veggies all from the same Walmart location! Of course the Tyson Chicken nuggets were the centerpiece of this creation 😀 I made little radish roses, cut the celery lengthwise, and cut some broccoli and cucumbers. I skewered all of these then arranged them in the floral foam that was fitted in the middle of the swim ring with a small bowl of ranch dressing for dipping at the center. This was so super simple to make and so much fun! You could get as creative with it as you like and even add some fruit to the mix! This is perfect for birthdays, end of school and back to school parties! I cannot wait to make this again…hmmm…I might just do it next weekend!
