Have Fun Learning A New Language With KLOO
We had so much fun playing Kloo!  If you love board games and love educational games, then you are going to FLIP for Kloo 😀  We had 4-6 feet of water on our road this week, so we have been stuck at home, with 3 kids, 3 dogs, and a kitten for 2 days!  What better time to have fun and brush up on our Spanish?!  My husband and Iplayed Kloo with our 3 children ages 15, 9, & 7.  The skill levels of each of us are widely varying.  My husband took a couple of years of Spanish in high school, then a couple of more Spanish classes while working on his bachelors degree.  He’s pretty good at translating for us 😀  My oldest daughter has a year of Spanish which I taught her while homeschooling.  My only Spanish is what I learned while teaching my daughter for a year LOL  My 7 & 9 year old don’t have any Spanish at all!  We all had a blast!  We tend to get very silly when we are playing board games and that helps a lot!
It is definitely helpful to have someone who knows Spanish pretty well helping with the younger kids.  It got a little frustrating for my 7 & 9 year olds.  My husband was a huge help for them 😀 If they had been introduced to Spanish at all before playing, it would have been a completely different story.  You don’t need to know much Spanish to have fun with this one.  Everyone who played with us learned something new in Spanish just from that one game!  We are definitely going to incorporate this into our homeschool routine!

Product Description
KLOO, winner of the “ToyTalk Best Board and Card Game 2011”, has turned learning a language into a game. Players make sentences and learn words in Spanish to score points. The longer the sentence and the more words you learn, the faster you can power your cars around the special “Race to Madrid” game board. Compete, race and overtake – KLOO makes learning a language fast, easy and a lot of fun. But there is no need to be a language expert – you can start playing KLOO as an absolute beginner – just be ready for how fast you pick up the language! Within a few games players can effortlessly learn hundreds of words and make tens of thousands of sentences. Using coloured cars to keep score, players speed through the great cities of Spain in a race to the capital. The game board shows genuine pictures of cultural sites and places of interest in each city. Extra game board rules spice up the fun. The four decks of KLOO cards contain useful Spanish words for making sentences. Once players know all the words in one deck, they move on to the next one. In a short time players learn to make thousands of Spanish sentences.
KLOO is suited for children and adult learners at pre-intermediate stages as well as being perfect for teachers seeking fun resources that the whole class loves to play and learn from. KLOO was designed by games experts, tested by teachers, manufactured in the UK and launched in the autumn of 2010. In March 2011 KLOO became an instant classic when it won the “Best Classic Toy” at the 2011 Dr Toy Awards in the USA. In the UK KLOO won the ToyTalk Best Board Game 2011.
