Keep Your Routines Through The Summer!  Well, summer has officially begun!  I am always struggling to keep the kids from becoming complete sloths in the summer. Don’t get me wrong, I want them to have fun and we have tons of stuff planned.  It is so easy, though, to just let them go and the next thing you know, school is starting back and they haven’t read even one book and have mold growing under their beds LOL  To keep this from happening, I like to put the rules in writing in each child’s room so they are abundantly aware of what is expected of them.  I’m not sure how or why it works, but putting things in writing seems to help a bit and they cannot argue with it.  This will also help keep the “summer slide” to a minimum and the mold growth under their beds from happening (hopefully).  I hope you all enjoy it and feel free to print it out here!  Of course, you can customize it to  your own children’s needs.
