Homemade Caramel Apple Dip

I just LOVE making my own caramel.  Something about it is just a little better than store bought.  Kind of like homemade ice cream.  This recipe is very easy and fun to make.  Plus, your kids with think you’re mom/dad of the year!  Speaking of ice cream, you can even make this for ice cream topping.

Ingredients

• 1 cup sugar
• 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
• 1/4 cup water
• 1/4 cup butter
• 1/4 cup whipping cream
• 1 tablespoon sour cream
• 3/4 teaspoon coarse sea salt
