This is a VERY EASY and fun project to do with your kids! You can tell by looking at mine that my kids did, indeed help me with this project. Just about every project I do, they help me with 🙂 This project can be as inexpensive as you want it to be. I used a mismatched plate that I had in my cabinet, but you can use plates from anywhere. You can get them at thrift stores, yard sales, or if you want to go the expensive route, you can get them at the Dollar Tree.

Gather your supplies:
Permanent markers of your choice (I use Sharpie)
Oven safe plate

Now, all you do is decorate your (clean) plate how you want with the permanent markers. Stick it in an oven preheated to 350 degrees for 20 minutes and VOILA! Now you have a baked on design that will withstand washing! You have a super cute, personalized gift and you don’t have to worry about getting your plate back because you didn’t spend a lot on it! You can do these for any holiday or occasion 😀

  2. That’s an awesome tip…Thank you so much. My oldest kids made these at school one year so I’d love for my younger kids to make them
