My kids and I have a favorite breakfast food you MUST try!  My kids aren’t too fond of yogurt of oatmeal, but when I combine them; they LOVE it!  So, you and your little ones will have a super healthy start to your day and it’s easy peasy to make.

Refrigerator Oatmeal in Mason Jars

Gather your ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup uncooked old fashioned rolled oats (don’t use steel cut, quick, or instant)
  • 1/4 cup milk ( use whatever kind you like; skim, whole, almond, soy, etc)
  • 1 carton yogurt (whatever flavor you like)  I use lowfat yogurt in a variety of flavors.   You can also use Greek yogurt, just be sure to increase the amount of milk by about 1/8 cup.
  • 1 Tablespoon honey

Mix it up!

In 1 pint  jar, add oats, milk, yogurt, and honey.   Stir until well combined.  Return lid to jar and refrigerate overnight or as long as 2-3 days. Top with fresh fruit and enjoy right out of the fridge.
